From October 2 to 4, 2025, the Internationalization for Science, Technology and Innovation Congress, organized by CEDIA (https://internacionalizacion.cedia.edu.ec/), brought together representatives from higher education institutions, international organizations, and academic networks to strengthen cooperation and global engagement in Ecuadorian higher education.

During this event, Mgtr. Amada Pérez Traba, general coordinator of the Erasmus+ InnoLabs – Entrepreneurship and Innovation Labs to Foster STEM Innovative Projects in Ecuador and Cuba, was invited as a speaker to share insights into the project’s implementation and impact. She highlighted how InnoLabs promotes the creation of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Labs (EILs) in Ecuadorian and Cuban universities as a means to empower STEM education and innovation ecosystems.

In her presentation, Ms. Pérez Traba emphasized the pioneering role of InnoLabs as the first Erasmus+ project coordinated from Ecuador, showcasing the successful collaboration between European and Latin American universities to strengthen capacities in innovation, entrepreneurship, and higher education transformation. Her participation reflected the consortium’s commitment to driving educational innovation with real social and institutional impact.
